Ethel M Chocolates use no preservatives, just as Ethel Mars did in her kitchen in 1911. You will taste the difference in the pure, delicious flavor and smooth texture that comes from using no preservatives. These chocolates are created in small batches and delivered factory-fresh and of the highest quality directly to you.

Ethel M Chocolates represent a proud heritage of chocolate making that started when the founder, Forrest Mars Sr., watched his mother create gourmet chocolates in their home during the early 1900's in Tacoma, Washington.  In 1981, Forrest Mars Sr, "retired" to Henderson, Nevada and created Ethel M Chocolates to honor his mother.  It is this line of gourmet chocolates that reminded him of how he originally learned about quality chocolate making.

Some of the original recipes are still used, and a new line of ganache centered gourmet chocolates was introduced in 2005.

Ethel M's chocolatier is award-winning Chef Jin Caldwell.  Formerly of the Bellagio Hotel and the Wynn Las Vegas, she was trained at Le Cordon Blue Culinary School.  She now brings her Artisan talent and passion to create Ethel M Chocolates known for their intense flavors, balance, and textures.
